《在馬尼拉遇見的她》Met her in Manila #throwback

由於第一天行程延誤，原本應該在Greenbelt用晚餐的。可是由於肚子不耐餓，在Fanny建議下…我們還沒走到LRT就在好奇心使然，我們走進了這家咖啡廳。

或許這帶並不是觀光區所以我們的出現明顯就是生面孔。點餐用餐之後我們並沒有立即離開。在我們低頭猛上載狂打卡的時候，身後有人在問我們是哪裡人。

回頭一望，是一位身穿粉紅色的短髮阿姨就站在我們身後。原來阿姨是菲律賓華僑，她用中文參雜福建話跟我們開始聊天。她叫做Auntie Nancy。

在這種情況下，當然就由我這個福建人用半鹹不淡的福建話跟阿姨聊天也一邊跟同行旅友做翻譯。旅友雖然不懂福建話但是阿姨說中文英文都沒有問題所以我們兩代人相得甚歡。

阿姨是這家咖啡廳的老闆娘，經營這家咖啡廳只有短短四五年而已。現在都幾乎交給兒子在打理咖啡廳了。從前阿姨做的是家庭式homemade蛋糕，各種禮節喜宴蛋糕和糕點都有做。阿姨看起來就很健壯年輕，她還照顧她92歲高齡的母親。她每天都帶母親到咖啡廳坐坐。說是讓母親可以不用窩在家裡面對四面牆，來咖啡廳可以多看看人潮不會悶。

不得不提這裡的抹茶冰真的很棒，我自己是個抹茶控。對於咖啡廳的抹茶冰給與高度評價，原來阿姨一直堅持真材實料，而抹茶冰用的是日本進口高濃度的抹茶粉製作的。更令我們受寵若驚的是阿姨知道我是抹茶控之後，竟然請我們吃抹茶巧克力起司蛋糕。對於抹茶、巧克力、起司、甜品都有同樣熱愛的我，這樣的蛋糕太令我振奮了！一般在馬來西亞常見的是抹茶配搭紅豆，我都不曾嚐過這樣濃郁綿密口感的蛋糕。

Auntie Nancy還特別推薦咖啡廳的紅絲絨蛋糕red velvet也很好吃。說下次可以再來嘗試。由於時間不早，合照留念後，我們就離開了。我還真的希望可以嘗嘗這裡的紅絲絨蛋糕。

可是很多時候，我們說的下一次往往都是一次的遺憾…到我離開馬尼拉時，我都沒有吃得到Sweet Avenue Cafe的紅絲絨蛋糕和抹茶巧克力起司蛋糕。更沒有機會跟Auntie Nancy說一聲goodbye 和salamat(Tagalog語的謝謝)。

在馬尼拉遇見的她，Auntie Nancy，我一定會再回來找妳…再享受我最愛的抹茶巧克力起司蛋糕和抹茶冰。謝謝妳讓我們在異鄉感受到的溫暖。

Auntie Nancy is the owner of Sweet Avenue Cafe, she is a local Chinese and she had passed the businesses to her son to take over.

She speaks Mandarins Hokkien with us, although my friends is not familiar with Hokkien, we still having a great time to chat with.

The one I recommend you must have a try when you visit here is the matcha green tea frap. A unique combination Matcha green tea, lightly sweetened and blended with ice and milk, topped with whipped cream. Auntie Nancy know I'm a matcha lover, she treat us matcha chocolate cheese cake. I'd felt so grateful to taste this delicious cheese cake.

Auntie Nancy recommend us to try the red velvet cake next time. But until we left Manila, I didn't got chance to try the red velvet cake.

I met Auntie Nancy in Manila, but I didn't say goodbye and salamat before I left. I promise to come back again to enjoy the matcha green tea frap and the matcha green tea chocolate cheese cake. May God bless her, healthy and happy forever.
